Painting tips

Having learnt how to paint in watercolour by applying "scientific method" to controlling paint - as well as by "trial and error"! - I'll post up something new every week, maybe to inspire and encourage anyone to get painting.

    Wet -in Wet painting 2

    Water
Use clean water- keep a separate jar for doing this.
If you tilt the paper towards the light you can see how much water is on the paper.
Do not allow the water to form “pools- this is too much and could make the paper buckle.
    Brush
Choose a suitable brush- to suit the paper size and area to be covered. Use a watercolour Round brush on smaller paper and a small mop style one on larger paper.
Wipe any excess water off your brush before picking up paint.
